Free Guided Tours

Enjoy a free guided tour around the Sanctuary with our friendly volunteers. Sanctuary guides tailor your tour to your special needs and interests. Specially trained guides are available to help the vision impaired.  To ensure a guide, bookings are advised, or ask our admissions staff on arrival if a guide is available for a personalised tour.

Sanctuary Harvest - Eat, Drink Yarra Valley   

At Sanctuary Harvest, we source the freshest of seasonal and local ingredients from the wonderful Yarra Valley.  We have food ready to go from our daily display, stocked with delicious hot pies, seasonal salads, hearty soups and great cakes.  Take some time out and enjoy something a little more substantial from our blackboard menu, accompanied by a glass of Yarra Valley wine an icy cold beer, or try the local Hargreaves Cider.  And to finish don't miss our indulgent chocolate cake, handmade local biscuits, or old fashioned crumble with a fabulous Genovese coffee.

Barbecue and Picnic Facilities
Relax and enjoy a barbecue or picnic at one of the Sanctuary's picnic areas. Order a gourmet picnic pack on arrival and DIY BBQ in style! A perfect way to catch up with family and friends or let the kids run free while you enjoy the natural surrounds.

Picnic areas and barbecues are available for group bookings.

Fabulous Gourmet BBQ packs and Picnic Hampers from Sanctuary Harvest
Gourmet picnic hampers and BBQ Boxes featuring a range of local Yarra Valley produce can be pre-ordered. Simply ring through to Sanctuary Harvest and confirm your selection at least 24 hours prior and we will have a delicious BBQ Box ready to cook or simply spread some rugs in one of the wonderful lawn areas and unpack a picnic hamper.

Wheelchairs and Pushers
The Sanctuary has an easy-to-follow pathway system with access for people using wheelchairs and pushers. Wheelchairs and pushers are also available for hire.

Pushers: $11 hire with $8.80 refundable deposit.
Wheelchairs: $22 hire, fully refundable deposit.

All prices are GST inclusive.

Note: The Sanctuary guides can provide a buggy service for up to two people. This service is subject to availability and bookings are advised.
