Take a free guided tour around the Sanctuary with our trained volunteer guides. From our rich Indigenous cultural history, to intimate knowledge of our wildlife, Sanctuary guides tailor your tour to your special needs and interests. Specially trained guides are available to help the vision impaired. If required, please ask for this service when making your booking.

Bistro, barbecue and picnic grounds

Bistro Meals and Take-Away
From a range of delicious lunch selections to light meals and take-away foods, Healesville Sanctuary caters for all dining needs. Sit down in the licensed bistro and enjoy a meal complemented by local wines or pick up a snack at one of the take-away outlets. The Sanctuary also offers a ticket free zone at the main entry where you can meet up with your family and friends for a coffee and light snack.

Barbecue and Picnic Facilities
Relax and enjoy a barbecue or picnic at one of the Sanctuary's picnic areas. Both gas and wood-burning barbecues are available for use free of charge. A perfect way to catch up with family and friends or let the kids run free while you enjoy the natural surrounds.

Group Catering
The Sanctuary's catering company Delaware North can provide special group catering services. A range of morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea options can be tailored to suit most styles and budgets.

Sanctuary Gift Shop
The Sanctuary's award-winning gift shop offers a large variety of well-crafted products and souvenirs. The gift shop is located at the front entrance and can be accessed free of charge during opening hours.

Wheelchairs and Pushers
The Sanctuary has an easy-to-follow pathway system with access for people using wheelchairs and pushers. Wheelchairs and pushers are also available for hire.

Pushers: $11 hire with $8.80 refundable deposit.
Wheelchairs: $22 hire, fully refundable deposit.

All prices are GST inclusive.

Note: The Sanctuary guides can provide a buggy service for up to two people. This service is subject to availability and bookings are recommended.
