Birds of Prey Close Encounter

Did you know that eagles have incredible vision that enables them to see more than two kilometres away, or that a Falcon in a dive can reach speeds over 300 kilometers an hour?

The Birds of Prey Close Encounter provides a one-on-one encounter with a keeper and bird which is simply unforgettable! As you enter their domain you'll become the watched, rather than the watcher as these amazingly skilled hunters of the skies, keep an ‘eagle eye' on you. This one-on-one encounter provides unique insights into the relationship and special bond between keeper and bird. Learn about trust and training, reading body language and the focused behaviours of these powerful predators.

Night Creatures Close Encounter

Under the cover of darkness the Australian bush comes alive with some of the most incredible and unique night creatures!

The Night Creatures Close Encounter is your opportunity to go behind the scenes and meet Healesville Sanctuary's very special nocturnal 'stars' close-up and personal. Meet acrobatic ringtail possums, the very cute Bilbies, the Potoroo - a mini-version of the Kangaroo and the 'king' of camouflage, the Tawny Frogmouth. Learn about their keen senses of sight, smell and hearing that makes them far better suited night life than us!

Available: Thursday through to Sunday
