Backstage Pass

For the first time ever school groups will be able to find out what really happens behind the scenes at Melbourne Zoo!

We are offering school groups a one hour access all areas guided tour of Melbourne Zoo. Students with this special backstage pass will be taken through various parts of the Zoo not usually visited by the general public.
There are two sessions available at 10.00am, 11.00am, 12.00 noon and 1.00pm each weekday.
Suitable for Years 5 and up

Photographic Treasure Hunt
During December your students are invited to compete in our photographic treasure hunt! Using their mobile phone or camera we are asking them to snap just a small part of one of our animals. It could be an eye, a nose, a whisker or an ear. On arrival your students will be given a list of 5 things to photograph and details of where to email their artistic shots.

The images judged as the most creative set will be displayed on our website and the student rewarded with an original painting by one of our animals!

Roaming Animal Encounters
During the month of December your students will have the privilege of meeting some unique animals up close and personal. Our zoo crew will be roaming around the zoo on weekdays with some very special wildlife for your students to see and touch. Bring your cameras and come say hello between
11.00am and 1.00pm.
