Healesville Sanctuary is leading the fight against extinction by breeding critically endangered animals like the Leadbeater's Possum, Corroboree Frog, Tasmanian Devil and Helmeted Honeyeater. But we need your help!
We are inviting schools to take the Love Your Locals Challenge and partner with us to fight extinction. By sharing your efforts with us, you can be in the running for a unique, behind-the-scenes visit to meet these precious animals! In 2013 we challenged Victorian schools to show their love for their local threatened wildlife. The result? Some very creative campaigns from some very committed students!
Students from Christmas Hills Primary School have been creating nestboxes, planting native gardens, and actively getting households and businesses in their community to make the switch to recycled toilet paper.
Year level: Foundation to Year 12
Duration: Full day excursion (optional)
