Mere Monkeys challenges VCE students to consider the findings of classic animal research that has contributed to the contemporary understandings in psychology and led to the current practices for ethical care and treatment of animals in research.

Students will be involved in an ethical discussion regarding a Zoo-based case study as members of an Animal Ethics Committee (AEC) and observe the behaviour of a social primate species, collecting and recording qualitative and quantitative data which can be further analysed back at school.
