International students

Healesville Sanctuary welcomes students from all countries to share an Australian bush experience

Suitable for new arrivals, those on study tours or on exchange and visiting Healesville Sanctuary with their hosts – international students are invited to meet Australian animals up close. 

Sessions can be adapted to suit primary, secondary and tertiary levels. 


Learning outcomes for students include:

• Forming questions and asking about animals
• Listening practice and answering questions about animals
• 
New cultural understandings as students practice their English in the context of learning about Australian animals

Students can enjoy their day meeting a Platypus, Koala and Kangaroo then take in the spectacular Spirits of the Sky free flight show. You can also dine the Aussie way and have a BBQ amongst the gum trees. Bring your own picnic or order a complete gourmet BBQ kit from our onsite caterers, K & B.
