Nature play the animal way

This hands-on, outdoor early childhood program allows students to get up close to nature and some of our gentler animals.

Natural environments are exciting places for discovery and learning for young children. In this multisensory early childhood program, students are actively engaged in free and directed nature play with the support of Zoo educators. They are provided with real-life concepts and given opportunities to make emotional connections with animals and the natural world through a range of activities.

After their visit, students are invited to participate in our Fighting Extinction Common Cents Challenge to help Tasmanian Devils.

Nature Play the Animal Way addresses Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework outcomes: Birth to 8 years.
