Mere monkeys?

Studying animal behaviour can uncover profound connections with our fellow living creatures
This program is the highlight of the year for many VCE Psychology students. Participants will explore their values considering animal ethics, and spend quality time studying complex, social animal species…but who’s watching whom?
Students study the behaviour of social primates and collect and record qualitative and quantitative data for analysis back at school. A Zoo educator will facilitate an examination of classic animal research that has contributed to the contemporary understandings in psychology and led to the current practices for ethical care of animals in research and our society.
On completion of the program students can write up a summary report that can be assessed to meet the requirements of the School Assessed Coursework (SAC).
Pre visit
