Reproduction: Feed 'em, Breed 'em and Release 'em

The success of a species depends on their reproductive strategy
Animals use different strategies to reproduce – some of them straightforward, others quite unusual. This program reveals the natural mechanisms and systems of reproduction used by various animals.
Students explore this fascinating topic by observing a wide range of animals at the zoo. Close-up encounters promote a deeper understanding of the behavioural and structural adaptations that lead to reproduction and ensure the future success of an animal’s species. Included in the activities are a scan observation exercise and an interactive role-play at the Vervet Monkeys.
On completion of the student trail students can write up a summary report that can be assessed for their School Assessed Coursework (SAC) for Outcome 1, VCE Biology Unit 2.
