Seeing Double

Introducing Healesville Sanctuary’s newest arrivals; two gorgeous Platypus twins! After 13 year old mum Binarri and six year old dad Tarrabi were spotted courting late last year, Binarri had almost immediately begun making preparations and nesting. The twins emerged from their underground burrow approximately 133 days after hatching.
