Three times a miracle

When Ezra walked past a possum which had been hit by a car in Don Valley, she wasn’t prepared for what she saw. The possum’s belly was still moving, so Ezra’s mum checked the pouch and found three tiny babies which they rushed to Healesville Sanctuary.

Devils to Maria Island 1

Devils on the Run

Eight healthy Tasmanian Devils from Healesville Sanctuary are being quarantined ahead of their planned translocation to Maria Island off the east coast of Tasmania later next month. They will be the first devils from the Sanctuary's insurance population to be released onto the Island.

Spring Possums and Blossoms

Meet Pip and Petal, two Common Ringtail Possum babies who LOVE flowers! These two aren’t siblings but they are best friends. They’re both around five months old and were brought into the Australian Wildlife Health Centre at Healesville Sanctuary for different reasons.

Swanny

Nearly a Swan Song

Swanny is just weeks old but very lucky to be here after trying to cross a busy road alone.  This beautiful cygnet was found without a mother or other siblings nearby, so was rescued and brought to the Australian Wildlife Health Centre at Healesville Sanctuary.
