Free guided tours

Enjoy a free guided tour around the Sanctuary with our friendly volunteers, who can tailor it to your special needs and interests.

Healesville Sanctuary can also provide a buggy service for up to two people. 

If you are keen to secure either a guide or buggy service, ask our Admissions team on arrival. These services are subject to availability.

Sanctuary gift shop

Make your visit last by bringing home a souvenir – or a gift for a loved one. The Sanctuary’s award-winning gift shop offers a tempting array of beautiful, well-crafted products. And it’s all for a good cause! Every dollar you spend helps us fight wildlife extinction.

Parent's Rooms - The Nest and The Pouch

Healesville Sanctuary offers two parent's room facilities to make your visit with us easier and more enjoyable. 

Our two parent's rooms, The Nest, located at front entrance and The Pouch, located next to Sanctuary Harvest Cafe, provide all the essentials you need to handle a day out with small children. Each space provides privacy and quiet and are easily accessed during your visit.

Wheelchairs and pushers

Healesville Sanctuary has an easy-to-follow pathway system, with access for people using wheelchairs and pushers. 

Wheelchairs and pushers are also available for hire. 

Wheelchair cost: $22 hire, fully refundable deposit (GST inclusive)
Pusher cost: $35 hire, $20 refundable deposit (GST inclusive)

Photographic identification required.

Australian Wildlife Health Centre

The Australian Wildlife Health Centre provides a vital service to the Healesville and Victorian community. 

The Centre treats more than 2000 sick and injured native animals every year. It’s also an important training centre for wildlife veterinarians, and for cutting-edge research.

If you find a lost or injured animal, or you need help with one, you can phone us on (03) 5957 2829 (from 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm).

Functions and events

The team at Sanctuary Harvest can also provide catering for small and large events.

Coach day tours offered by tour operators

Day tours to Healesville Sanctuary depart from Melbourne every day by a range of companies. You can combine a morning or afternoon at Healesville Sanctuary with some other local highlights such as Puffing Billy. Healesville Sanctuary does not take bookings for these tours.
