Come to Healesville Sanctuary to learn about what it takes to work in a zoo! These school holidays we are celebrating the opening of our new koala exhibit. You will have the chance to meet some of our amazing keepers and animals and find out what a zoo keeper’s day is really like.

You will go behind-the-scenes, taking part in many daily duties of a keeper, which could include:

  • Food preparation
  • Animal training and enrichment
  • Exhibit design
  • Health checks
  • Animal contact

You will also have the chance to learn about pathways into this exciting career!
