Find out what it takes to be a keeper!

Come and work as a keeper at Healesville Sanctuary these school holidays and get up close to some of our most precious and endangered animals. These school holidays our theme is Corroboree giving you the chance to work with some of our Indigenous keepers and also learn about animals from a traditional perspective. Meet amazing Corroboree Frogs, Pythons and Birds of Prey.

Keeper for a Day allows participants to work in the sanctuary for the day, helping out our keepers and learning about one of the most rewarding jobs!

You will go behind-the-scenes, taking part in many daily duties of a threatened species keeper, which could include:

  • Food preparation
  • Animal enrichment
  • Health checks
  • Animal contact
