Meet the Predators
Due to popular demand this has been extended and is now running every weekend, in February and March. This summer there’s a predator lurking around every corner at Healesville Sanctuary! Watch our thrilling Birds of Prey dive, Dingoes hunt for their next meal, the Tawny Frogmouth swallow its prey whole, and a Tasmanian Devil feeding frenzy.
For a limited time only, you will be able to see Australia’s iconic predators doing what they do best – feeding, hunting and stalking. Every day will be action packed, as our keepers and animals plan their predatory path, and keepers choose different locations across the Sanctuary to showcase the predatory skills of our animals.
Be awed by Australia’s top order predator, the Dingo, and watch as these amazing animals use their efficient hunting skills to find their next meal.
Dare to visit our Tasmanian Devils and marvel at their powerful jaws in a feverish feeding frenzy, including watching our new Devil feed “bungee” in action.
Be thrilled by raptors as they dive with stealth from the sky, hunting their prey. And don’t blink or you’ll miss the Tawny Frogmouth swallow its prey whole in just a few seconds.
Australia has some of the deadliest snakes in the world. Learn who is prey and who is predator; yes, snakes have enemies too!
You will get the opportunity to talk with our keepers and take your own photos ... Plus don’t miss our special kids’ school holiday activities, including our “Grab a Gripping Photo” predator selfie opportunity and our Toothy Touch Table!
This special program is available during the summer season only. And remember, kids are free every weekend, Victorian Government school holidays and public holidays!
