Head to the beach at Melbourne Zoo this summer and help save seals!
For this summer only, our iconic Carousel Park will be transformed into a pop-up beach. Play in the sand, relax with chairs, umbrellas and food stalls, and learn how to save our beautiful marine wildlife.
Then head across to Wild Sea where you'll encounter charismatic pelicans, Fiddler Rays, Port Jackson Sharks and penguins, as well as our family of seals who will put on a show for you in the presentation arena. Our seal show runs daily at 11.30am, with an extra show at 1.30pm on weekends during January.
The little ones will also delight in beach-themed activities in our Keeper Kids play space at 12pm, 1.30pm and 2.30pm.
Plus, zoo members will be able to enjoy early morning visits during January with exclusive entry to Melbourne Zoo from 8am on Wednesdays. They will have a special opportunity to meet our Wild Sea Keepers and watch the seals’ early morning training session. If you’re not a zoo member, why not find out more and join online today?
Remember, kids under 16 are free every weekend, Victorian Government school holidays and public holidays!
