Swing with the Orang-utans

Visit our orang-utans these school holidays and watch the family close up in their tree-top home, including our beautiful baby Dewi. Take the opportunity to walk the elevated boardwalk of the Orang-utan Sanctuary and observe them climb, swing and feed high off the ground. Listen to daily talks and learn how to help save orang-utans in the wild.
Orang-utans are the largest tree-dwelling mammals in the world and are currently found only in the rainforests of Sumatra and Borneo. While our peaceful family group lives in safety, orang-utans are threatened in the wild due to destruction of their natural habitat.
Listen to our Zoo Presenter’s daily talks to find out how the whole family can help orang-utans in the wild through everyday choices made at the supermarket. Kids will also get the chance to meet our orang-utan puppet.
Swing with the Orangutans is free with general admission – and remember kids are free on weekends, all Victorian Government School Holidays and public holidays!
