Once the Zoo Keepers managed to round up the eight frisky female meerkats, this morning’s veterinary visit proceeded promptly.

Almost before they knew it, the meerkats were checked, weighed, vaccinated, and back in the exhibit enjoying their post-procedure treats!

Rubbish in waterways is a big threat to Platypus and other wildlife. Last week, the Australian Wildlife Health Centre at Healesville Sanctuary treated a Platypus who had been brought in by wildlife carers after she had been found crossing a main road.
