This weekend is your last chance to get your favourite soft toy animal checked by our friendly vet team at Healesville Sanctuary. We have many spring babies in the nursery at the hospital to come and say hello to as well. Max from Kallista had his teddy checked by the vets this morning and received a certificate to take home!
In the Baby Burrow, you’ll get to see the workings of our hospital nursery and share in the stories of the many injured, orphaned and hand-raised babies. The Burrow will be open every day from 11am to 3pm, and animal viewing, feeding and general care experiences will be scheduled throughout the day.
You will also get the opportunity to meet local wildlife carers, who will be bringing their baby animals in to the Sanctuary every day and will share some of the amazing work they do alongside the Sanctuary in caring for rescued wildlife.
Don't forget, your babies and children are free during Victorian Government school holidays!
Together we can improve animal care, reduce threatening processes and save endangered species.
