Werribee Open Range Zoo’s Veterinarians and Keepers made the sad decision today to euthanize elderly, eleven-year old Cheetah Inkosana.

Over the last few months Inkosana’s age seemed to catch up with him, as his health began to decline.

Werribee Open Range Zoo is expecting a Southern White Rhinoceros calf – a little brother or sister for Kipenzi.

Predicting the date of birth is difficult for rhinos but we expect that mum Sisi will give birth in the next two months.

Leo the Echidna puggle - 11 weeks old

Lucky Leo

Leo the Echidna puggle tested fate when he was found at only a month old in a garden bed in Badger Creek. Luckily for Leo, he was brought straight to Healesville Sanctuary’s Australian Wildlife Health Centre and was given a fighting chance to survive.
