Swanny is just weeks old but very lucky to be here after trying to cross a busy road alone.  This beautiful cygnet was found without a mother or other siblings nearby, so was rescued and brought to the Australian Wildlife Health Centre at Healesville Sanctuary.

“There are no signs of any injuries so we’re hoping we can find Swanny some friends for him to bond with soon,” Ian Elton, Healesville Sanctuary’s Veterinary Nurse said.

The sex is not known until little Swanny matures.
