Art by and for orang-utans

A collaborative effort between an award-winning wildlife artist and the Zoo’s orang-utans has produced an amazing array of artwork, all for the benefit of orang-utans being cared for in the world’s largest rescue and rehabilitation centre for this endangered species.

New meerkat pups

New Meerkat Pups at Werribee Open Range Zoo

Werribee Open Range Zoo has welcomed some new arrivals to the Meerkat family, with mum Akili giving birth to two Meerkat pups on Thursday 20 August.

At five weeks of age the pups are now becoming more mobile and are starting to emerge from the burrow.
