White-headed Pigeon

Tiny pigeon survives nest fall

In early August a tiny White-headed Pigeon chick had fallen from its nest and was found by Sanctuary visitors. The pigeon had very few feathers and was in respiratory distress so he was rushed to the Sanctuary’s Australian Wildlife Health Centre for immediate treatment.
