Today Buffy the Chocolate-wattled Bat came to the Australian Wildlife Health Centre at Healesville Sanctuary after being found in a cat's mouth. She was very dehydrated and had mutliple wounds from the cat on her body and her wing membrane.

It’s exactly a year since Asian Elephant Num-Oi became pregnant, so she is 12 months into a 22-month gestation.

The conception was complicated, because the baby’s father is in Perth.

A seven-month old Koala joey has made her public debut at Werribee Open Range Zoo.

During the last few weeks the new arrival has started venturing out from mum’s pouch and onto her back and the family are doing well.
