Werribee Open Range Zoo

Kinda Kinder for Zoo Members

Free Play Group for Zoo Members!

Enhance your child’s learning and development of literacy, numeracy and socialising skills through play and fun activities each week at Werribee Open Range Zoo.

Werribee Open Range Zoo has partnered with Victoria University to provide a location for their hugely successful Kinda Kinder program.

Kinda Kinder is designed for children under the age of six and is led by Victoria University students doing the Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood/Primary).

The program helps young children develop some of the skills that they will need to have on entering school with activities focused on fine motor skills, literacy, numeracy and social skills.

Each play group session is supervised by a mentor teacher from Victoria University and content will vary each week, with the Zoo’s walking trails providing the perfect environment for lots of counting activities, craft, stories, music and imaginative play.

Kinda Kinder at Werribee Open Range Zoo runs weekly from 29 April – 16 September and is only available for Zoo Members.

Bookings are essential and multiple sessions are recommended.

Kinda Kinder is the latest addition to Werribee Open Range Zoo’s program for toddlers.

Every weekday you can dance along at the Zoo’s Village Dance Party or catch a Junior Safari at 11am.

Then there’s Mini Zoo Keepers on Fridays – a special paid experience that will take you and your kids off-road on a wildlife adventure through the African savannah.
