Who's who in the Zoo?
Zoos Victoria is three world-class zoos Healesville Sanctuary, Melbourne Zoo and Werribee Open Range Zoo and includes a corporate team. The organisation employs more than 600 staff and offers a vast range of business services and zoo industry roles as well as a range of niche jobs.
Zoos Victoria’s head office is located onsite at Melbourne Zoo. The office employs approximately 80 staff and represents the essential business services including Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, Communications, IT, Sponsorship and Business Development.
Healesville Sanctuary is a bush haven located in the Yarra Valley and home to Australia’s iconic as well as the lesser known native species. The Sanctuary employs more than 100 staff members from a range of disciplines including zoo keeping, veterinary science, customer service and administration.
Melbourne Zoo is a busy urban zoo home to some of the world’s most impressive wildlife including elephants, tigers and baboons as well as some of our favourite Aussie natives. The Zoo employs more than 300 staff members from a range of disciplines including horticulture, zoo keeping, carpentry, retail, waste removal, visitor experience and service roles, events and water treatment specialists.
Werribee Open Range Zoo is a true out of Africa experience with visitors enjoying the vast Savannah by Safari Bus to see hippos, rhinos, giraffe and zebra. The Zoo employs more than 100 staff members from a range of disciplines including browse specialists, carpentry, zoo keeping, bus drivers as well as education staff.
Our organisation is extremely unique in so many ways. Meet some of the amazing individuals who make this organisation a leader in the fields of animal husbandry, science and research, education, visitor experience and interpretation.
