Nature’s calling

Children are encouraged to discover, explore and connect with the amazing animals at Werribee Open Range Zoo through a session of child directed play.

This Early Childhood program encourages children to show respect for the environment through child directed play, contact with some of our native Australian animals and awareness of the zoos community conservation campaigns to help animals fight extinction. Around the zoo, children are encouraged to actively discover, explore and connect with parallel- play, nature and dramatic play elements around the Pula Walking Trail.

Nature’s calling learning program addresses Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework outcomes: Birth to 5 years and Early Learning Framework for Australia: Belonging, Being & Becoming.
