This professional development has been designed for Year 3-6 teachers who want to include real-world content in their Geography lessons.
Join us for individual workshops or complete the whole series.

Teacher Tribe Movie Night

Friday 8 April, 5.30-9.00pm
Tickets $20 each
Filmed in the magnificent Australian Alps, the documentary Where the Water Starts focuses on:
- The animals and habitats within Kosciuszko National Park
- Caring for Country as a shared responsibility of all Australians
- Aboriginal connection and regenerative science can work together for a better future for people and animals
You will be inspired to teach your students about this wonderful part of Australia through the Science and Geography curriculum.

Living Sustainably (Year 3-4 Geography)

Tuesday 16 August, 9.30-3.00
During this one-day workshop, you will:
- Learn how to include Aboriginal perspectives about sustainability in Year 3-4 Geography
- Experience activities that investigate the importance of environments to people and animals
- Explore Healesville Sanctuary and learn real-life Geography skills
- Talk with Zoo Teachers and other classroom teachers

Working with Fire (Year 5-6 Geography)

- Experience activities that investigate the influence of Aboriginal peoples on the environment
- Explore Healesville Sanctuary and learn real-life Geography skills
- Talk with Zoo Teachers and other classroom teachers
