This professional development has been designed for Year 3-6 teachers who want to include real-world content in their Science lessons.

Join us for individual workshops or complete the whole series.

You will grow your knowledge, teaching skills and confidence:

Teacher Tribe Movie Night

Tickets $20 each

Filmed in the magnificent Australian Alps, the documentary Where the Water Starts focuses on:

  • The animals and habitats within Kosciuszko National Park
  • Caring for Country as a shared responsibility of all Australians
  • Aboriginal connection and regenerative science can work together for a better future for people and animals

You will be inspired to teach your students about this wonderful part of Australia through the Science and Geography curriculum.

Australian Animals (Year 3-6 Science)

Healesville Sanctuary
Wednesday 25 May, 9.30-3.00

During this one-day workshop, you will:

  • Learn how to teach Australian animal features, adaptations, habitats and life cycles
  • Experience activities that integrate Aboriginal cultures into Science
  • Explore Healesville Sanctuary and practice your Science skills
  • Talk with Sanctuary Teachers and other classroom teachers
