Today Buffy the Chocolate-wattled Bat came to the Australian Wildlife Health Centre at Healesville Sanctuary after being found in a cat's mouth. She was very dehydrated and had mutliple wounds from the cat on her body and her wing membrane.
A little while ago we shared the story of Norton, a young echidna who was brought into Healesville Sanctuary’s Australian Wildlife Health Centre requiring special care. Norton now has a friend, Melba, joining him on a similar journey.

Norton, a Short-beaked Echidna, came into the Australian Wildlife Health Centre (AWHC) at Healesville Sanctuary in mid-March. He was found wandering around near the road and was rescued by a member of the public.
