Where Eagles Fly
Soar into Healesville Sanctuary this summer and celebrate 25 years of the Spirits of the Sky show!
Our birds will be leaving the flight arena and exploring the Sanctuary’s pathways with their trainers, giving you the chance to meet their keepers and get up close to our amazing birds as they show off their incredible skill and agility.
You may even have the opportunity to compare your arm length with the wing-span of a Wedge-tailed Eagle and be treated to a meeting with our Peregrine Falcon, the world’s fastest animal, which can reach speeds of more than 300km/h!
We’ll also share the secrets of how we train our birds for Spirits of the Sky and are teaching endangered Helmeted Honeyeaters the difference between friend and foe before they are released to the wild.
And make sure you catch the world-renowned Spirits of the Sky show daily at noon and 2.30pm and many more bird-themed activities that will be running throughout the day. Plus Creek Play will be open at Badger creek for the kids to splash and cool down.
Remember, kids under 16 are free every weekend, Victorian Government school holidays and public holidays!
