Join your zoo host and our passionate Elephant Keepers for this intimate behind-the-scenes, small-group experience.

Enter the zoo through Main Gate before it officially opens, travel back-of-house to explore the Elephant Barn, and watch as they choose to participate in daily training sessions and interact with provided enrichment (this may vary depending on the day). Along the way, learn about the dynamics of our ever-changing herd behaviour as we integrate our new bull arrival, Luk Chai, onsite, and how we are preparing our Elephants for their upcoming move to Werribee Open Range Zoo.

Each encounter will be unique, allowing our Keepers to let the individual animals shine and give them the choice to control how they participate. If you’re an Elephant lover, this is one not to be missed!

Your participation will help contribute to Zoos Victoria's work to fight wildlife extinction.

Zoo entry not included. Book your entry tickets for the same date as your encounter.

This experience is currently operating with a COVIDSafe plan in place, if you’ve done this experience before, it may be a little different this time around (but no less fun!)
