Celebrate the mother figure in your life by learning about our micro-environments while creating your own terrarium

Gather your loved ones and celebrate Mother's Day with one of our engaging zoo rangers and explore some of our smaller creatures as the zoo winds down for the day.

Choose from a morning or evening session and enjoy a glass or two of beer or wine, or delicious selections of teas and coffees, as you graze at the charcuterie table or morning tea spread, while being guided through the construction of your very own terrarium at Melbourne Zoo.

Terrarium Tea Itinerary (10:30am session):

10:30am - Welcome and introduction
11am - Guided walking experience through our Reptile and Frog House
12pm - Glass of sparkling followed by tea/coffee soft drinks and morning tea grazing table (scones, sandwiches, cakes) as terrarium construction begins.
1:30pm - Approximate finishing time
