Do you know a high school student who loves animals?

The adorable Mountain Pygmy-possum has found itself in a bind and we need some fresh ideas, so we're assembling a squad of teens for a HACK day to brainstorm and explore ways to help the possum.

We are bringing together a group of like-minded teens to understand the possum's predicament and stretch their creativity to help us find solutions. They will be working with a team of experts from Zoos Victoria and those on the ground with this special possum.

Participants don't need to be a member to get involved, they are welcome to bring along some friends for this exciting and impactful day out at the zoo.

Participants will:

  • Connect with other teens in a cool place
  • Learn and use design thinking skills
  • Work in a team to solve a real zoo challenge
  • Explore and experience what it's like to have a job at the zoo
  • Make a difference acting for wildlife
