A masterpiece of the martial arts genre upon its release in 1972, 'Fist of Fury' sees Chen Zhen (Bruce Lee) – a kung fu pupil in 1930s Shanghai – pursue revenge served piping hot after the murder of his mentor. Inspired by both the film's perspective on colonial violence and the 2013 Navajo dub of 'Star Wars: Episode IV', Noongar multidisciplinary creative Kylie Bracknell teamed up with Perth Festival’s Noongar Advisory Circle to redub director Lo Wei's original film with an all-Noongar cast, executive-produced by the Perth Festival and Boomerang and Spear. Join us for this special Victorian premiere of the first feature film ever to be fully dubbed in an Aboriginal Australian language, presented by Melbourne International Film Festival.

Stars: Bruce Lee, Nora Miao, James Tien

Director: Wei Lo

Year: 1972/2021

Running time: 1hr 46min

Genre: Action/Drama

Film classification: M - Medium level violence
