The French Dispatch
At the turn of the 20th Century, the French outpost of an American newspaper is preparing for the publication of its final issue. Described as a "love letter to journalists", Wes Anderson's 10th film captures three separate stories under this fictional masthead inspired by 'The New Yorker'. The ensemble cast (including Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Tilda Swinton, Adrien Brody and Timothée Chalamet) come together in stylish scenes and with the winking dialogue that typify Anderson's work. But the goings-on in the town of Ennui-sur-Blasé go beyond aesthetics in what's been described as the director's most impressionistic, ambitious and unusual film to date.
