Members' Wildlife Photography Competition

Fancy yourself as a wildlife photographer? We want to see your best photos! 

Melbourne Zoo is giving members the chance to have their photograph exhibited in our outdoor gallery during an exciting exhibition, to be announced in July. Simply enter your best photo of Melbourne Zoo animals and you can go into the draw to have your photo exhibited and win some great prizes!

Members can enter their photos in the Under 18 Years category or the Adult category. From these two categories, 20 photos each month will be selected to appear in a monthly exhibition running throughout spring.There will also be a People’s Choice category, consisting of the 60 best members' photos selected for exhibition, with the winner announced as the most 'liked' photo on Facebook. To be a valid entry, all photographs must be taken at Melbourne Zoo in 2018. 

There a some great prizes to be won for each category: 

  • Under 18 years and Adult categories – each category Major Prize Winner will receive a $1,000 camera store (Michaels or Teds camera store) voucher, and one Zoos Victoria family membership renewal (valid for 12 months). 
  • Every winner – one framed print of their winning photo (valid for 60 winners), up the value of $100. 
  • People’s choice – the Major Prize Winner will win ‘Walk the Zoo,’ a personalised photography tutorial with National Geographic contributing photographer, Doug Gimesy, valued at $500.

To enter, simply submit your Melbourne Zoo photo and fill out the entry form, then share to Facebook. Maximum of three entries per person.
