Tiger Behind the Scenes
The perfect predator, Sumatran Tigers can be up to 20 times bigger than a household cat and males can weigh up to 120 kilograms!
In this exclusive experience you will have the opportunity to meet these incredible yet critically endangered animals. Our passionate keepers will grant you special access to areas of Melbourne Zoo usually reserved only for zoo keepers to learn about how we care for these animals and their plight of their wild cousins.
With the tigers safely back of house you will head into the exhibit with our keeper to set up enrichment activities. Then head to a VIP viewing area to see our tiger up close and engaging with the scents and treats you left for their entertainment.
Sadly, three tiger species are already extinct and Sumatran Tiger numbers in the wild are falling. Your participation will help contribute to Zoos Victorias work to fight wildlife extinction.

You can help us label palm oil once and for all. Let Ministers know that you want the choice.
The Sumatran Tiger is critically endangered with around 240 remaining in the wild. Despite hunting being illegal, tigers continue to be killed by poachers. You can help us fight extinction by adopting the Sumatran Tiger.
