Dingo Puppies at Healesville Sanctuary

10 July 2014

Healesville Sanctuary is thrilled to announce the arrival of two beautiful Dingo puppies. The sisters are just eight weeks old and ready to meet visitors.

They are from the first ever litter of Tropical Dingo pups born at the Australian Dingo Conservation Association. They have been kept off display to give them some quiet time and to make sure they are comfortable with their keepers. They will remain in a nursery at the Australian Wildlife Health Centre for another six weeks before moving to the dramatic rocky high country exhibit, Dingo Country.

This little pair are our newest and cutest ambassadors for the Australian Dingo. They are beautiful, strong and healthy.

The Tropical Dingo puppies come from a culturally significant part of Australia and we would like to have a unique name for each of them. In the past, the public has named our Dingoes after locations, plants or treasures indigenous to Australia (for example, Kuma, Manuka, Opal and Tambo).
