New Entry for Werribee Open Range Zoo
Today Werribee Open Range Zoo unveiled its new arrivals precinct including the addition of a stunning new animal sculpture.
Created by Phil Woodman and Sioux Dollman, the sculpture has been designed especially for kids with seats for climbing, tunnels to crawl through and hidey holes to explore.
The work features nine animal totems with each one representing an animal that can be found at Werribee Open Range Zoo.
Now in its thirtieth year, Werribee Open Range Zoo is growing rapidly and last year welcomed more than 420,000 visitors.
This new arrivals precinct will make getting into the Zoo easier, quicker and more comfortable for visitors as the Zoo continues to grow.
It includes a spacious new arrivals area with external café and amenities, new ticketing windows for faster entry including an express lane for members, a new retail area, additional car parking and Wyndham City Council Visitor Information Centre.
The new entry is expected to be open to the public later this week - come check it out!
