Werribee Open Range Zoo hosted a very special Playgroup Day on Tuesday 6 May, with visitors enjoying a range of hands-on play experiences provided by Playgroup Victoria.
Storytelling with best-selling children’s author, Jeanette Rowe was a big hit, along with Junior Safari tours and the opportunity to meet some of the Zoo's reptiles up close.
The Zoo's new indoor place Ranger Kids provided a cosy spot to relax, while other little adventurers tested out the Monkey Play rope course.
Visitors also enjoyed watching the Zoo's gorillas enjoy some special enrichment on the day, with Keeper Kelly giving a special talk about Motaba and his two sons Yakini and Ganyeka.
