VicSuper and Victorian school students fight extinction

30 January 2013

VicSuper, a proud supporter of Zoos Victoria's Mali in my School program recently ran a series of competitions for Victorian primary and secondary school students.

The Have you ‘herd’ of extinction? competition included writing, drawing, colouring and art categories and there were hundreds of fantastic entries submitted by very talented students.

Students were encouraged to learn about endangered species and their habitats and to explore why certain species are under threat. Many students chose to focus on our native endangered species - such as the Eastern Barred Bandicoot, Tasmanian Devil and Victoria’s state emblem, the Leadbeater’s Possum.

Congratulations to all of the students who were involved and learnt more about endangered species and how we can all help in the fight against wildlife extinction.
