Celebrating Chinese New Year at the Zoo

There’s an added Asian flavor to a Zoo visit this weekend at Melbourne Zoo to celebrate the Lunar New Year.

Special options have been added to the menus in two catering outlets, the Bong Su takeaway in the Asian Rainforest area and the Lakeside Café, next to the Japanese Garden.

Veterinary staff made the very difficult decision to euthanise the 14 year old kangaroo recently after his health deteriorated following acute arthritis.
