Vale Thembi, a gentle giant

Much-loved Werribee Open Range Zoo giraffe, Thembi, has passed away in tragic circumstances.

The 11-year-old gentle giant died overnight on Wednesday (December 12), and was found by keepers the following morning in the walkway between the giraffes’ night and day dens.
