Visitors to Werribee Open Range Zoo can now see some fresh, feathered faces after it welcomed new flocks of African Black and Australian Grey ostriches this week.

The zoo’s two resident males, Pinky and Frank, have been joined by five male and 10 female ostriches.

Born to parents Melako and Zaide, the long-limbed two-week-old male has been named Mudhe, which means tall in Zulu.

Warrnambool artist Jimmi Buscombe has recently completed a pair of murals of serval cat sisters Nanki and Morili, as well as Kulinda the cheetah at Werribee Open Range Zoo.

Kulinda the cheetah received her mural just in time for her 6th birthday last week.
