Note: all members and visitors, of all ages (including babies) will now need a ticket to enter the zoo. This applies on weekdays, weekends, public holidays and school holidays.

All zoo visitors and members must book a ticket online in advance

Zoo visitor numbers will be limited to a maximum of 2000 people per day and all visitors and Zoo Members will now be required to book a ticket online in advance.

Zoo Member tickets will be free but must be booked online in advance – you will no longer be able to scan your membership card to get into the zoo.

Please note that even 0-4 year-old children require an online ticket.

Other changes to your zoos include:
  • All keeper talks have been cancelled until further notice
  • The free safari bus has been cancelled until further notice
  • All encounters have been cancelled until further notice
  • All indoor play spaces have been closed until further notice
  • But the animals are still out and about and would love to see you!

We know many people are feeling panicked or anxious about the Coronavirus situation so we want to reassure you that our zoos are a safe and enjoyable place where you can forget about what’s going on in the world and just enjoy some time with the wonder of nature.

Some people have asked us why we’re not discounting our zoo tickets given the changes above. To be completely honest, we need your support more than ever right now. With the bushfires, it has been a really tough start to the year for wildlife and as a not-for-profit conservation organisation, we want to do absolutely everything that we can to make sure our breeding and conservation programs can continue. If you could have our back, we’ll have the backs of Victoria’s wildlife.
