Every Sunday during May and June, hear and participate in stories from other lands presented through books, puppets and music as you wander through the trails at Werribee Open Range Zoo.
Down at the Hippo Tourist Hut, special guest and African storyteller – Valanga Khoza will be telling traditional African tales by the fire with short musical intervals.
Chance upon cosy locations set up with picnic rugs and cushions to read stories as a family or create your own stories by playing our villages games set up in the African Village.
Our keepers will also be roaming the grounds for a special animal encounter with the Guinea Fowl and telling the story “How the Guinea fowl got her spots”.
