Winter school holiday fun
Winter is here and we’ve got activities for all ages! It’s time to rug up, put on your gumboots and embark on an adventure at Victoria’s three zoos; Healesville Sanctuary, Melbourne Zoo and Werribee Open Range Zoo.
Melbourne Zoo will host The National Geographic Photo Ark exhibition in an Australian-first from 1 July – 1 October. The indoor photo exhibition included in general entry will showcase the work of National Geographic photographer and Fellow Joel Sartore. Visitors will come face-to-face with some of the world’s precious species through unique portraits – inspiring people not just to care, but also to help protect these animals for future generations. The winter tradition in the west will welcome performances from Cirque Africa and include activities for all night owls, such as marshmallow toasting, roving performers, lantern parades, a glow zone and a secret garden of lights.
