Ever wondered how it feels to be as tall as a giraffe?

This summer, walk on stilts to see what it’s like to be the tallest animal in the world. Test your skills and attempt your own graceful walk through our African Village.

Help piece together a real giraffe skeleton. This giant jigsaw has many amazing pieces that will have you connecting knee bones to ankle bones and everything else above!

Then jump on board our safari bus to meet our giraffes and their savannah friends. Witness the majesty of our gentle giant, Thembi. whilst on safari and realise just why the word ‘giraffe’ means ‘graceful one’.

Visitors will also get the chance to learn about our Beads for Wildlife conservation campaign.  This campaign directly supports the women of the Melako conservancy in northern Kenya by selling their beadwork through our retail outlets. Selling beads creates an alternative income stream which reduces peoples reliance on livestock – helping to decrease livestock numbers, which increases access to water and grazing for wildlife.

You can also book in to enjoy our Tall Order Giraffe feed experience to find out why giraffe have blue tongues… (Additional costs apply).

This special program is available during the summer school holidays only. And remember, kids are free every weekend, Victorian Government school holidays and public holidays!
