It's important that you read these conditions of membership carefully!

Members who elect to pay yearly membership fees by credit card or debit card must select either the Annual Membership - pay by the month plan, the Annual Membership - automatic rollover plan or the Annual Membership - single year plan. The Annual Membership - pay by the month plan and the Annual Membership - automatic rollover plan automatically roll over your membership from year to year until you opt out.

  1. Annual Membership - pay by the month plan
    1. The Annual Membership - pay by the month plan payments will be deducted in 12 instalments. The first instalment will be withdrawn on the day you join, with further instalments on the same date or previous business day of each of the following months via a nominated MasterCard, VISA or Paypal account.
    2. In addition on the instalment day of each month all outstanding/overdue payments will be deducted. We will continue to debit your nominated account without notice, until we have received the total amount owing.
    3. To opt out of your Annual Membership - pay by the month plan after the first payment has been deducted, contact our membership office 1300 966 784. However, you must complete all remaining payments for that annual membership at time of opting out.
    4. Volunteer, Teacher and YATZ memberships are not available on the Annual Membership - pay by the month plan.
    5. Members who default on their monthly payments in any year may not be offered an Annual Membership - pay by the month plan as a payment offer in the future. This decision will be the sole discretion of Zoos Victoria.
    6. If Zoos Victoria agree to offer a further membership on an Annual Membership - pay by the month plan notwithstanding a default has previously occurred, members will only be able to renew their membership if all outstanding debt from previous years has been paid and such outstanding money owing will be deducted with their first instalment.
    7. If your payment is not successful or dishonoured by your financial institution, you will receive notification requesting immediate payment. If your payment is not successful or dishonoured Zoos Victoria reserves the right to charge a dishonour fee. Your new or renewed yearly membership will not be confirmed until a successful payment has been processed.
    8. You authorise Zoos Victoria to debit from your nominated credit card, debit card or Paypal account in amounts advised.
    9. By joining the Annual Membership - pay by the month plan, you agree to an automatic rollover of your zoo membership from year to year unless you choose to opt out during the designated timeframe set by Zoos Victoria.
    10. If a payment falls due on a day which is not a business day in Victoria, the debit will occur on the next business day.
    11. If payment fails to transfer from your bank, further attempts will be made to clear the funds until it has been processed.
    12. It is your responsibility to:
      - Have sufficient clear funds available in the nominated account on the scheduled payment date. 
      - Ensure the account details you have provided are correct, including letting us know should the expiry date change.
      - Ensure your contact details are correct at all times and to update them if they do change.
    13. You acknowledge that membership fees may increase from year to year.
    14. Zoos Victoria will provide you with 28 days' notice in writing of changes in the new amount of your next year’s membership prior to the payment being deducted and/or of any changes to the Annual Membership - pay by the month plan terms and conditions.
    15. We may refer any outstanding balances to our collections agency for recovery. This may incur additional costs that you will be responsible for.
    16. You may only pay your Annual Membership – pay by the month plan dues online with a credit card or via a Paypal account. No other form of payment will be accepted.
    17. If you believe a payment has been done incorrectly, please contact our membership team on 1300 966 784.
    18. You use the Annual Membership - pay by the month plan at your risk entirely and Zoos Victoria accepts no liability for any matter arising from your use of the Annual Membership - pay by the month plan.
    19. New paying members cannot be added on to an existing Annual Membership - pay by the month plan and will need to create their own Annual Membership - pay by the month plan agreement.
    20. Zoos Victoria reserves the right to refuse any application for membership.
    21. If your membership is suspended or cancelled, all membership benefits including access to Zoos Victoria properties will be suspended.
    22. A Zoos Victoria membership is only valid during the period up to and including the date of expiry.
    23. A valid Zoos Victoria membership grants the listed members unlimited entry during normal opening hours to Melbourne Zoo, Healesville Sanctuary and Werribee Open Range Zoo for 12 months.
    24. A Zoos Victoria membership is not refundable.
    25. A Zoos Victoria membership is not transferable. Only the named person/s listed on a membership card may use it.
    26. To gain entry to Melbourne Zoo, Healesville Sanctuary and Werribee Open Range Zoo, Members must present to Zoos Victoria staff a valid Zoos Victoria Membership card. Adult members may also need to present another form of identification - preferably with a photograph. Concession card holders may be asked to produce proof of concession.
    27. Membership entry benefits do not apply to school visits, Zoo Twilights, or other similar events.
    28. Children under 16 years of age can only be added to an adult membership.
    29. A Zoos Victoria student membership covers a full time student on presentation of student card.
    30. There is no pro-rata or refund membership subscriptions.
    31. The primary member is responsible for ensuring the details of their Zoos Victoria membership are correct at all times.
    32. For Zoos Victoria members who live in NSW, SA, QLD, NT, WA and ACT, reciprocal entry rights to zoos in any of these states apply to adult members only. Children between the ages of 4 and 15 will be charged entry and accompanying adult members must present a valid Zoos Victoria membership card along with photo ID.
    33. To receive reciprocal entry to selected interstate zoos, all Zoos Victoria members who live in Victoria or Tasmania, including children, must present a valid membership card upon entry, along with photo identification for the adult members. Failure to do this will result in you being charged a non-refundable entry by our partner zoos.
    34. Reciprocal free entry to interstate zoos are subject to change.
    35. Membership privileges, terms and conditions may be amended or revoked at Zoos Victoria’s discretion.
       
  2. Annual Membership - automatic rollover plan
    1. The Annual Membership - automatic rollover plan will be deducted in one instalment on the date of joining and then annually on each anniversary via a nominated MasterCard, VISA or Paypal account.
    2. To opt out of your Annual Membership - automatic renewal plan before the payment is deducted, a request must be received online by Zoos Victoria by 1pm of the day your membership is due to expire.
