Enjoy a weekend of family fun at Kyabram Fauna Park

30 June 2023

Just in time for school holidays, Kyabram Fauna Park is offering two action-packed days of family friendly fun this coming weekend [July 1 and 2].

The inaugural Kyabram Fauna Park Family Fun Weekend will run all day Saturday 1st July and Sunday 2nd July, with activities included free with park entry

Young and not-so-young can have their face painted, bounce on jumping castles or choose an airbrush tattoo. Plus, there are plenty of opportunities to learn more about the Park's resident wildlife with a supersized keeper talk schedule.

Kyabram Fauna Park acting Director Paul Lavars said families far and wide are invited to enjoy the weekend festivities.

“We have something for the whole family,” Mr Lavars said. There are animal-themed jumping castles and a supersized animal talk schedule where you can learn about our wildlife from the people who know and love them best - their keepers.

“Learn how Tasmanian devils communicate to each other, how we provide a stimulating environment for our reptiles and the Cassowaries’ favourite food.”

Kyabram Fauna Park is home to hundreds of animals across its 55 hectares of parkland and wetlands, including Tasmanian devils, quolls, dingoes, koalas, kangaroos, wombats, echidna, emus and southern cassowary.

A purpose-built Reptile Habitat opened earlier this year, and a mob of meerkats can be seen as soon as visitors step in to the Park’s dining and retail space.

Kyabram Fauna Park is just a 30-minute drive from either Shepparton or Echuca, or 2.5 hours from Melbourne. It is open 10am to 5pm every day of the week. The Family Fun events run from 10am to 3pm.

Entry tickets can be brought at Kyabram Fauna Park front entrance and Zoos Victoria members visit free.
