On your Safari adventure, you’ll experience the grasslands of North America and Africa, spotting Bison, Oryx, Rhino, Zebra, Ostrich, Giraffe and more. Experience the arid grasslands, the waterhole, over the river and into the wide-open African savannah. Students will have the chance for discussion about whatever piques their interest, whether it be the adaptations of a variety of animals and what features they have to help them survive, or the threats faced by wildlife and what actions can be made to help fight extinction.

Your zoo visit will include:  Introduction (for arrivals between 9:45am – 10:00am), Zoo Teacher Safari Bus Tour (40 minutes), exploring habitats and keeper talks. Check out your Teaching Guide for other ideas of what to do at the zoo.
